CES is in search of a legal intern to begin immediately with the potential of serving through the summer of 2022 and beyond, based on performance.
The Intern would have the opportunity to work with in-house attorneys on a variety of issues, including both transactional and litigation matters.
Some areas of exposure include: contract negotiation, drafting, and interpretation; finance; intellectual property; employment law matters; litigation management and document review; real estate purchases, sales, and leases; and mergers and acquisitions.
Currently, the position is on-site Monday – Thursday and is remote on Friday.
Experience/Skills
· Current 2L or 3E at an ABA-accredited law school.
· Law Review, Journal, Legal Writing Teaching Assistant, or other similar writing experience required
· Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time while meeting deadlines in a constantly changing and sometimes ambiguous environment
· Curious, enthusiastic, flexible, and confident with a desire to be continually challenged
· Proven detail-oriented writing skills
· Strong follow-through working style (i.E., “owning” a project to completion)
· Effective time management
· Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
· The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a positive demeanor
· We are seeking an enthusiastic team player willing to be an essential part of building the legal department as CES continues its rapid growth nationwide Hours
· Minimum of 20 hours/week during the spring semester
