The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems, complex data and reporting projects, and programs in coordination with the Senior leaders within Operations, as well as technology teams.
The overall objective of this role is to serve and contribute to these large complex technical projects as a project lead, project manager, and/or lead developer.
Responsibilities: Ensure that reporting and business intelligence Operational Reports are working, updated timely, and down time is communicated and minimized by creating and following robust processes and protocols to ensure efficiency across the team.Manage, lead.
and execute on complex, long term projects to implement new functionality and changes to reporting and BI tools by leading the design and sourcing of various data sources as well as document business requirements, document testing requirements, create data designs, assist in testing, and train end users.Create sophisticated Power BI and Tableau Dashboards leveraging SQL data structures as a data source.Create and run queries for use in reporting and data analysis linking disparate data sources across Teradata, SQL Server, Big Data (Hadoop) and Oracle platforms.Provide reporting and BI subject matter expertise, support, and training to the Core Operations functionals teams to enhance their skills and achieve, over time, increased self-sufficiency on their side in using basic and intermediate reporting and BI capabilities.Serve as technical design expert for agile scrum team providing thought leadership for forward compatible, effective data design to supplement future reporting and operational reporting needs.Maintain and publish documentation of data and BI tools (user guides, models, metadata, etc.).Metric development and design for Core Operations/back office reportingProvide continuous improvement through the automation/streamlining report production.
Qualifications: The candidate should be a highly versatile individual with great attention to detail and dedication to high quality work.7-10 years of programming/software development of operational dashboard/MIS with a focus on data architecture design and implementation for support of operational dashboard/MIS5 years of dashboard/reporting technologies (e.G.
Tableau, Power BI, SSRS) is required.5-10 years developing data models including data feeds, staging tables, and summary tables leveraging sound data model for expansion and forward compatibility in an ever changing data environment.Experience with Core Operation/back office source systems including but not limited to G360, PEGA-CSM, PEGA-RSM, IRCH, Kana, First Disputes and data warehouses including EDW and EAP is highly desirable.Experience with report creation (including designing executive-level reports and dashboards) is required.Experience with development tools like Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server is highly desirable.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
