POSITION OVERVIEW

The Chief Operating Officer will play a pivotal role in providing strategic, long-range leadership for the Company as the company expands in product offerings, channels, and new markets.

The COO will drive maximum productivity, quality, and efficiency through leadership of the organizations operations strategy including manufacturing, planning, sourcing, purchasing, and distribution of finished goods.

As part of the executive leadership team, the COO will work closely cross-functional leaders to provide visionary and hands-on leadership across the organization to achieve the business objectives and create a great place to work.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Organizational Leadership

  • Participate in self-managed executive leadership team, partnering with the CEO and other key executives in developing the long-term strategy for the organization.
  • Develop, execute and communicate the vision and strategy for the Company’s Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Operations function
  • Oversee and continually improve capacity planning, production, quality, and distribution operations to optimize business opportunities in all channels
  • Partner cross functionally to implement and lead highly functional business processes to deliver against all organizational objective
  • Build and develop a world-class operations team, defining required skillsets and capabilities to support a high growth organization

Manufacturing and Operations

  • Work in partnership with the VP of Operations to oversee all manufacturing operations, from day-to-day production management to long-term capacity projects to starting new brewery operations from scratch.
  • Develop strategy for future manufacturing growth within current footprint but looking at expansion domestically or internationally either through self-manufacturing or partnerships
  • Implement a diversified sourcing strategy to support high volume and growth in production while ensuring that company is appropriately positioned with current and future global sourcing trends.
  • Skillfully negotiate win-win business relationships with long range partnerships across multiple key suppliers, ensuring quality of product, costing, and on time delivery
  • Develop product costing tools to consistently achieve or exceed targeted gross margin goals.
  • Ensure all quality, human safety, and food safety goals are met and exceeded

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain operations including experience with: in-house manufacturing, planning, sourcing, purchasing, and distribution.

    Food/bev experience required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or engineering required
  • Ability to engage with and lead executive team on matters of supply chain strategy and execution
  • Proven talent management experience with proven ability to attract, cultivate, and retain top performers in a world-class supply chain organization.
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning tools and implementation, with proven experience developing and implementing business focused KPIs and metrics.
  • Proven leader of high-performing business and teams, with experience scaling a high-growth business in the $50-500M range.
  • Stellar track record of achieving high business impact via process, organizational and infrastructure change in lean, fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to frame a strategy, then dive in to drive and support hands-on execution through the business results.
  • Results-driven leader, prioritizing and sets expectations accordingly.

    Transparent in communicating goals and challenges.

    Holds self and team accountable to the organization.

  • Strong communicator that balances actively listening with a strong, persuasive and clearly articulated point of view that drives teams forward in a clear, consistent, aligned direction.
  • Innate systems thinker that collaborates across the organization to facilitate business process innovation and continuous improvement.
