The VP, Data Strategy & Enablement provides theoverall data strategy, governance, and deployment for the Business Unit.

This key leadership role works to identify and acquire the core data assets required to power our products.

Uses quantitative, data management and business intelligence techniques to translate data into actionable insights which can be easily understood and utilized by the entire organization and external partners.

Works with stakeholders to identify business requirements and expected outcomes.

Models and frames meaningful scenarios which materially impact critical business processes and/or decisions.

Responsible for positioning Data as a strategic asset and its enablement consistent with strategy and goals.

Deep understanding of our markets, payer, provider, and patient dynamics alongside knowledge of the digital technology and partnership landscape are highly desired.

This position is part of the Software, Digital & Connectivity team and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA or USA Remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Establishing the data strategy, governance, and deployment of data.

Providing deep insight on our core data sets, establishing a robust data strategy, and identifying opportunities to define Cepheids roadmap through data-driven decision making.Enable a mature understanding of data as a critical asset for delivering better solutionsCreating a data solutions strategy which meets the evolving needs of the business, our customers, and patients, and capitalizes on opportunities for transformation.Identifying technology trends and evolving social behavior that may support or impede success.

Developing strong external relationships with industry experts in data solutions.Ensuring data strategies are aligned with corporate quality system, regulatory requirements, and digital health regulatory models and initiatives.Collaborate with senior leaders across the business and influences the opinions of others within the business unit, in external organizations, and across Opcos; exercises sensitivity to the audience.Driving best practice change management, Program evaluations.

And assessment of results.Manage and lead globally dispersed teams through multiple communication levels and mediums throughout the organization as well as external collaborators.

The essential requirements of the job include:Bachelors degree with 20+ years of experience OR Masters/Doctoral degree with 18+ years of experience AND 6+ years managing people.MBA or Strategic Management background will be given priority.10+ years of direct work experience in a program management capacity, innovation management including all aspects of product development, plan execution and product launch.15+ years of work experience in biology, chemistry, engineering or related fieldsExperience in regulated industry.An entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas that will stretch the organization and push the boundaries within the industry.Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; the ability to adapt nimbly and lead others through complex situations.Demonstrated proven extensive ability and success with leading the development and implementation of projects plans, while managing risk, meeting deliverables and timelines on large-scale projects in complex organizations.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Experience managing data and software projects.Medical device and/or In Vitro Diagnostic product launch experience.Scientific/lab experience.Alliance management experience.Experience with Quality System Regulations (QSR) 21 CFR 820; Design Control: ISO 13485:2003, FDA regulations is a plus.
