Responsibilities

The Department of Defense’s (DoD) works cooperatively with allies and partners to reduce or eliminate weapons of mass destruction (WMD) threats.

The cooperative nature of the DoD’s activities yields a secondary benefit of strengthening regional alliances, deepening existing partnerships, and attracting new partners.

We are actively seeking to identify personnel to join our team of talented professionals who possess the experience, vision, commitment, and integrity to successfully support the strategic goals of the Department of Defense’s program.

 

Noblis is looking to hire a CBRN Scientist to support the mission in cooperation with partner nations.

Responsibilities for the position include, but not limited to:

 

  • Provide expertise in WMD detection equipment for land, maritime, and aerial operations, including networks and communications systems, portal monitors, and handheld and mobile detectors for radiological, biological, and chemical agents.
  • Provide expertise in visual recognition of WMD, WMD components and delivery systems.
  • Conduct needs assessments, gap analysis, procurement support, and performance validation and sustainment on behalf of DOD.
  • Work across project and contractor teams to meet science and policy objectives in accordance with program cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
  • Support program leadership in defining regional and technical requirements, establishing long-range plans, defining project and program success factors, and implementing assessment methodologies for achieving consistent, systematic processes.
  • Make recommendations to the program leadership and facilitate the identification of trends and the desired future state for the program abroad.
  • Document best practices across all programs, draft lessons learned, and make recommendations to adapt, apply, and embed those practices throughout the project life cycle.
  • Provide support for organizational development, process implementation, trend monitoring, and continuous process improvement with an emphasis on ensuring critical needs are addressed in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Required skills and knowledge:

 

  • The candidate must possess a BA/BS, and 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • SECRET clearance or higher, or ability to obtain a U.S.

    clearance.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the U.S.

    government on areas concerning national security.

  • Familiarity with State-level and regional WMD threats.
  • Familiarity with nonproliferation obligations, approaches, and objectives.
  • International engagement experience.
  • Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects which includes prioritizing, tracking, attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through to project completion.
  • Flexibility/adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates with a Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SCI clearance are preferred.

· Participate in the proposal process by providing input to proposal writers.
