Cabinetry Design Lead

This is a Full-time position in Oklahoma City, OK posted February 25, 2022.

JOB TITLE: Cabinetry Design Lead

Locations: OKC Gallery (320 W Wilshire Blvd, OKC)

Reports to: Cabinetry Sales Designer and/or Senior Cabinetry Sales Designer

 

Job Summary: To provide support in drafting/organization/clerical activities to a Cabinetry Sales Designer.

Design and Ordering (70% of time)
Assists a Cabinetry Sales Designer with keeping multiple large scale cabinetry projects moving forward in an organized and expedient way.
Supports a Cabinetry Sales Designer by translating architect’s plans, design meeting notes, and/or rough sketches into computer drawings, or coordinates with a drafter, to prepare projects to close.
Assists in, and in some instances completes, on-site measurements to properly confirm a project’s design plans.
Assists in, and in some cases leads customer design meetings.
Schedules and sets up design meetings for Cabinetry Sales Designer.

Brings in food/beverages as needed.
Provides accurate estimates with finalized perspectives for client approval.
Creates sign off packets and invoices as per company policy to close sales.
Creates purchase orders and places material orders for jobs sold.
Completes double-checks, confirmations, paperwork and other processes necessary to finalize ordering.
Reception and Sales Relationships (20% of time)
Provides front desk coverage on a scheduled basis and becomes the face of the Wilshire Cabinet + Co brand to new homeowners, designers, and remodelers/contractors coming into the Gallery.
Provides great customer service while learning more about the guest and their project.
Answers incoming phone calls and qualifies customers to get them directed to the right team member.
Provides guests complimentary beverages and food when appropriate.
Gives outstanding gallery tours catered to the guest and their needs and goals.
Connects new guests with the right Wilshire Cabinet + Co team member after learning about their project needs and goals.
As assigned, leads sales on smaller projects with supervision from a Lead Designer.
Utilizes the company CRM to manage and document sales relationships and projects.
Showroom Sample Management (5% of time)
Maintains a sample program, as assigned, for products sold that includes tracking sample check-out, rotating expired samples and ensuring all literature is available and current.
Ensures all product catalogs and associated design software are current.
Maintains a clean safe and welcoming showroom environment.
Team Duties (5% of time)
Partakes in regular staff meetings and department meetings as scheduled.
Partakes in regular product knowledge opportunities, and continuing education.
Attends and assists with various marketing and entertainment events in and out of the showrooms.
Other duties as assigned by direct manager, upper level management or owners.
Position Qualifications

This position is typically reserved as a career advancement opportunity for current Cabinet Design Assistants with the company.

The following requirements and qualifications apply to applicants from outside the company.
Strong organization skills required.
Strong attention to detail skills required.
Associates or bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field PLUS 2+ years of sales, interior design or drafting work experience is required.

Consideration may be given to candidates who have substantial work experience but no degree.
Experience in 2020 Cabinetry Design Program is required.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with minimal supervision and possible client interruptions.
Must work well in a team setting with a variety of personalities.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum age – 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to stand and circulate for extended periods of time.
Final offer is subject to a clear background check and drug test.
Job Type: Non-Exempt, Full Time, some weekend and evenings as per client needs

Pay: $20-$25/hr based on experience and/or qualifications
