Job Summary:

Be a part of commercialization and innovation!

This is more of a behind the scenes role (not very customer facing) but will work with vendors on products like cardboard, bottles, caps, packaging materials, etc.

Essentially the materials that help bring quality bottled water to market in a sustainable way.

Goals: source product, get the best pricing.

Just implementing ERP system “FishBowl” so, assist with that.

Be adaptable and flexible as the company grows and changes.

Day to Day:

* Create and document purchase orders as directed by Purchasing Managers
* Manage weekly inbound shipments from Offsite Warehouses
* Clearly and concisely communicate any/all inventory shortages, which would cause down-stream production issues.
* Manage current supplier relationships to ensure reliable and steadfast working partnerships and an effective/efficient communication flow.
* Monitor purchase order progress, confirming receipt and communicating any discrepancies
* Manage/Improve the current working excel models for all commodities including primary and secondary packaging; and fresh, frozen, and dry ingredients
* Process Invoices, ensuring three-way invoice match, request credits for damaged product
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes that add value and reduce costs
* Update and maintain product master, ensuring all product and vendor information is up to date
* Help manage an ERP system
* Collaborate with marketing on product updates including new product launches
* Implement new tools and/or processes to streamline the overall onboarding process, including making it easier for new vendors to submit items for review and required paperwork once approved
* Collect and organize information for new private label purchasing.
* Manage samples, including placing sample requests with existing vendors, tracking samples, participating in in-office sampling, and working closely with Photo Team to coordinate photography samples
* Support new product innovation & launches
* Work closely with new vendors to submit onboarding paperwork in a timely manner, verify that setup information is complete and accurate, and assist with other onboarding responsibilities
* Run weekly and monthly reports related to product and KPIs.

Requirements

* BS Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred (but not required)
* Minimum 1-3 years experience in procurement/purchasing
* EXCEL be very comfortable within Microsoft Excel and have working knowledge of VLOOKUP functions, pivot tables, and if statements.

Necessary to use & troubleshoot spreadsheets as they are currently designed.
* Demonstrated ability to develop, communicate, and execute detailed work plans that support operational improvement.
* High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications required; experience in data gathering; including the ability to translate large amounts of data into actionable insights preferred
* Demonstrated ability to build relationships with and influence business partners
* Strong, professional, and effective verbal and written communication skills
* Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
