TITLE Business Data Analyst LOCATION Tracy, CA or Corte Madera, CA TYPE Direct HirePERM INTERVIEW PROCESS 2 to 3 interviews including an SQL Coding Exercise NO THIRD PARTIES – CLIENT IS UNABLE TO SPONSOR This position will be mostly onsite with some flexibility to work remote per business needs. Our client is seeking a Business Data Analyst to analyze and sort large amounts of contact center data to identify performance and volume trends and anomalies. The Business Data Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring success of our Contact Center teams. RESPONSIBILITIES Answer and resolve on demand business inquiries and analysis Analyze and track data trends while gathering data via SQL or OLAP Cube Recommend business opportunities through data analysis Provide timely status updates on projects and initiatives Self-driven ability to gather data and documentation to support optimization and company vision Completes post-mortem analysis to highlight areas of opportunities and planning adjustments REQUIREMENTS 5+ years of experience as a Data EngineerBusiness Intelligence Experience with relational SQL and SQL Server databases, including Postgres, MySQL, or NoSQL Advanced working SQL experience and expertise working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and working familiarity with various SQL dialects. Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL Server Suite Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to solve specific business questions and identify enhancement opportunities. Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets. Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management. Proven experience processing and extracting value from large ambiguous datasets. Strong project management and organizational skills. Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Salesforce Architecture that encompasses knowledge of API and Metadata objects Understanding of contact center metrics, processes, and practices PREFERRED Working knowledge of Avaya telephony and datasets Ruby, Python, or JavaScript expertise with proven 2+ years of experience
