Job Description
Shriners Hospital for Children – Philadelphia is currently seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Orthotic and Prosthetic (O&P) Technician II for our Pediatric Orthotics and Prosthetics (POPS) Department. The O&P Technician II independently fabricates orthotic and prosthetic devices, including highly technical devices such as KAFOs, repairs O&P devices as required, maintains inventories, and utilizes time management and cost effective strategies.

Qualifications:
– Minimum of three years of orthotic fabrication experience, including:
o Comprehensive knowledge in fabricating, modifying, adjusting, and repairing orthotic devices, with a specific focus in metal contouring
o Excellent technical skill evidenced by strong experience utilizing a variety of hand and power tools, machines and materials, and working closely with a Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist required.
– Experience using an Electronic Medical Record preferred, along with experience or willingness to be trained in OPIE and VORUM (CAD) software programs.
