Ameristar Casino Kansas City also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center. We are seeking an Engineer II
– Materials Handler t o maintain stock levels and overall shop organization to improve inventory controls.
• Performs pick-ups and loads/delivers parts, material and equipment to Shop.
• Supports good customer service relations with our in town vendors.
• Coordinates shipping, receiving and stocking of materials and equipment for techs.
• Safely drive a company vehicle to make pick-ups and deliveries.
• Receives pick-ups and checks the purchase order against the invoice.
• May assist in removal and disposal of old equipment and trash in the shop
• Assist techs, as needed on project
• May perform general maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe facility
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times
• Ensures the correct parts/materials are pulled for work orders
• Prepares and coordinates stock items in shop and satellite storage area for easy of locating product
• Signs out parts and equipment
• Create and maintain an inventory list of stock items
• Maintain min/ max inventory levels
• Must be physically able to lift, load and un-load materials
• Must be able to stand, bend and walk frequently
• Must be able to lift, carry and move materials or heavy objects up to 100+ lbs.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.
Operate fork lift Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Must be able to measure and inspect items for proper length, width and shape Understanding of material management Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
Highly organized and detail-oriented Must be comfortable working in a 24/7 casino environment.
Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
