is looking for an organized, hard-working, fun-loving individual who can help share our love for beer, innovation, and quality to join our team as a Bookkeeper.
At KettleHouse Brewing Co., our mission is to match the quality of our beers to the quality of the Montana outdoor experience.
Our award-winning beers include Cold Smoke® Scotch Ale, Double Haul® IPA, Shady™ New England IPA, Hellgate® Honey Hefeweizen, Northwest IPA, along with many seasonal and rotating offerings.
We are distributed throughout Montana and in select markets in Idaho, Washington, and Wyoming.
We are looking for a three-quarter time (30 hours per week), full-charge Bookkeeper who will be responsible for maintaining the company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
The Bookkeeper will perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
The Bookkeeper will also be integral in helping the company migrate from our current platform to some brewery-specific enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for entering and assembling highly sensitive information requiring the utmost discretion and confidentiality.

Necessary Professional Skills: * Possess a thorough knowledge of QuickBooks (or other financial administration software) and generally accepted accounting practices.* Have a deep knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other common office duties.* Maintain an understanding of the business principles involved in small business and coordination of people and resources.* Knowing the basics about the process of manufacturing beer and beer styles is a plus.* Be an effective oral and written communicator.* Know how to prioritize your workload effectively.* Be able to problem-solve and demonstrate sound decision-making skills.* Have a demonstrated pattern of attention to detail when completing work tasks.* Be reliable, responsible, and dependable.* Work independently with little or no supervision.* Someone with a willingness to take on responsibilities and new challenges.* A team player who can maintain professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company positively the utmost confidentiality about KettleHouse related information.
Education and/or Experience: * Combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) to five (five) years of experience, including bookkeeping, secretarial, administrative, or executive assistant work.
