Find your future with us.Boeing Defense Space & Security has an exciting opportunity for a highly-collaborative and versatile Experienced, Technical Engineer to support our F-15 & F/A-18 Platforms located in Berkeley, MO.As an Experienced Technical Engineer for the Mechanisms Team, you will be accountable to F15/ F18 business needs and mentoring junior engineers.
You will have the chance to bring innovative solutions to add new capability, lead the team through complex Root Cause Corrective Action, and convert 2D drawings into 21st century 3D Model Based Definition.
Position Responsibilities Leads and provides technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design.Leads activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements.Leads the development, maintenance or modification of system components’ designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation.Performs and documents analyses.Manages supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.Prioritizes, delegates and tracks performance and documentation of analyses of mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design.Supports proposal preparation and new business development efforts.Trains and coaches others.Works under minimal direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S.
secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience) Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry 3+ years of experience with mechanical systems 3+ years of 2D drawing interpretation & review and/or update/ revision experience.
3+ years of 3D solid modeling software applications experience (e.G.
NX, Catia, CADD) Preferred Qualifications Final Secret clearance 5 years aerospace design engineering experience in subsystems or airframe structures Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills Typical Education/ExperienceEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
