Join us at the intersection of saving and sustaining lives where your purpose accelerates our mission.Job DescriptionPosition: Operator, Fill/PouchShift: 3rd (10:30-6:30) Part-time (Saturday additional day optional) Position SummaryThe Operator, Fill/Pouch is an Hourly Non-Exempt position which contributes to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by inspecting, printing, filling and sealing flexible containers in addition to over-pouching and performing quality checks on filled bags which hold IV therapies, premixed drugs, renal therapies and other sterile solutions.

Essential Job Duties Duties performed on a rotational basisFill, assemble and plug flexible containers with solutions or premixed drugs at a rate consistent with production needsOver-pouch and seal the over-pouch, enclosing a bag containing solutions or premixed drugs, at a rate consistent with production needsInspect and ensure that the over-pouches, printed bags, filled bags and their components meet quality standardsPrint labeling and bar code information on the flexible containers using a computerized printerMaintain the printer by replacing printer foil, ribbon and by making minor adjustmentsSupply the filling stations with printed bags and other supplies necessary to assemble the flexible containerDuties performed on a continual or intermittent basis Correct any over-pouch seal or packaging issues previously identifiedPerform scheduled quality checks using an assortment of gauges and a scalePerform and document scheduled cleaning activitiesNotify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occurLearn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles Other Job DutiesCorrect any over-pouch seal or packaging issues previously identifiedPrint labeling and bar code information on the flexible containers using a computerized printerMaintain the printer by replacing printer foil, ribbon and by making minor adjustmentsSupply the filling stations with printed bags and other supplies necessary to assemble the flexible container Work EnvironmentIn either a Class III Controlled Environment which includes the following dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, ear plugs, hairnet and beard cover (additional PPE required when cleaning and manually loading trucks) or a Class I Controlled Environment which includes the following dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning) Safety shoes requiredConstant or intermittent exposure to elevated levels of noiseInvolves working around equipment, machinery and beltsRequires occasionally working with chemical cleaners and disinfectants Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalentMust be at least 18 years of ageMust have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members.Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.Must be able to perform basic mathematics Preferred ExperienceOne year of manufacturing experience preferred Physical RequirementsRequires continuous grasping, pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds and reaching with hands and arms.
