Banquet Captain (On-Call)

**Description:**Thompson Dallas part of Hyatt Corporation will make its Texas debut at The National, a 52 story building boasting a midcentury-modern hexagon design, rising prominently above the Dallas skyline.

Thompson Dallas will bring guests and community together through an inspired tribute to history, design and culture.The Banquet Captain functions as the lead banquet server; trains and schedules banquet servers.

This position also performs the duties of a banquet server, taking food and drink orders and serving guests, and illustrating the proper techniques and etiquette for all styles of service.+ Assist guests; help serve as needed and respond to questions using suggestive selling techniques.+ Inspect function areas for cleanliness, safety hazards, correct furniture set up and amount for guarantee.+ Clearly and timely communicate needs and concerns to Banquet Manager+ Be aware of timing for all banquets, coffee breaks and any other organized event.**Qualifications:**+ Hotel Banquet experience preferred.+ Food Handler’s Certificate and TABC required+ Have superb time management skills+ Must have ability to perform multiple tasks at one time, must be able to follow verbal and written instruction, and be able to communicate.+ Ability to understand guests’ service needs & requests+ Able to work flexible shifts to consist of mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekend and holidays.**Primary Location:** US-TX-Dallas**Organization:** Thompson Dallas**Pay Basis:** Hourly**Job Level:** On-call/Casual**Job:** Banquets**Req ID:** DAL003276Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
