Crisis Intervention Specialist (BSW)About the Opportunity: A non-profit mental health organization is seeking a Bilingual social worker to work with troubled and emotionally distressed individuals, particularly at high-risk of suicidal or homicidal thoughts.

In this position, you will provide supportive counseling and follow-up services to clients via phone, SMS, and/or webchat.

This is an intense and sensitive scope of work that requires quality experience, technological stability, and active listening skills.Provide evidence-informed information and referral, brief supportive counseling, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention support to callers and/or chat/text visitors who are in emotional distress.Conduct assessments in accordance to program policies & procedures.Utilize resource referral database to provide information and referral assistance to callers seeking mental health and substance abuse services.Provide follow-up to high-risk callers reporting suicidal and/or homicidal thoughts and behaviors.Manage interactions to ensure an appropriate level of support is provided inefficient manner.Adhere to policies & procedures for each service offered by the program.Accurately and efficiently document client interactions.Meet or exceed established key performance indicator goals.Utilize telephone, SMS texting, and/or webchat to interact with clients.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field1+ years of experience in mental health counselingModern technology to conduct job responsibilities effectively with no hindrances
