The EII Global Strategy & Business Intelligence team is responsible for driving business strategy and leading initiatives across regions and functions.
The Associate will be a core member of the team and will play a central role in evaluating and analysing data that supports the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting senior business leaders assess all available forms of data intelligence that inform our strategy, product and distribution, with the goal of enhanced analytics and insights that will enable us to support growth.
The ideal candidate is a high-energy, self-motivated individual excited to work in a fluid, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Technical acumen and experience in various tools, in particular Excel/SQL/Tableau or similar, is a must.
Experience to lay out a project schedule, understand dependencies and coordinate resources around those tasks is also important for the role.
The role requires the capability to work in agile, cross-functional teams and utilize analytical abilities to come up with creative solutions to business problems, presenting impactful solutions with tangible next steps for senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Assist partners in collecting and evaluating data that helps strategy assess business performance Work on various data management related tasks to ensure accurate and timely reporting of fund and client data Support the local team members and other EII businesses and functions on ad-hoc requests and projects, where appropriate Build and present insightful analytics and presentations Support the assessment of current internal intelligence; evaluate third party data sources for closing gaps, identify best practices evaluation; systematize analysis Work with databases and other internal data platforms to extract client information and analyse customer behaviour Formulate data-driven business intelligence and insights as well as competitor monitoring

Knowledge / Experience:
3-5 years of professional experience or equivalent experience in a graduate school program; a variety of backgrounds including those outside of financial services Demonstrated experience with project participation and interaction with various business constituencies to drive towards execution.
Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches Comfort manipulating and analysing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources A passion for data analytics and for answering hard questions with data
Skills/Qualifications:
BA or BS required; major in Engineering, Applied Mathematics and Computer Science or related fields preferred Experience working with large data sets in relational databases Skilled in data visualization tools such as Tableau Hands on Excel experience: Ability to manipulate large data sets and produce robust Excel models Ability to communicate complex analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of issues Hands on experience with data load processes (ETLs) Unquestioned integrity and the highest ethical standards, with a commitment to inclusion and diversity High levels of demonstrated ownership over work product and project engagement Team player attitude with collaborative instincts and strong interpersonal skills Action-oriented approach and willingness to take on additional responsibility to meet business needs Courage of convictions and the ability to respectfully debate the status quo Intellectual curiosity for the role of technology in the business, company and industry Self-determined drive to achieve superior performance
