Full Time/Part Time Full-time (1.0 FTE) Job Description The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) in Rolla, Missouri is seeking outstanding applicants for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor faculty position in Metallurgical Engineering. Preference will be given to applicants who have expertise in iron and steel, with emphasis on physical metallurgy. Competitive salary commensurate the qualifications of the candidates will be offered. Missouri S&T has one of the largest materials science programs in the United States and is one of only seven universities that offer an ABET-accredited Metallurgical Engineering degree program. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Peaslee Steel Manufacturing Research Center (PSMRC; https://mse.mst.edu/steelmanufacturingresearchcenter/ ). The PSMRC is a large industry-funded consortium of steel producers, suppliers and investigators that support research in steel manufacturing at Missouri S&T. PSMRC projects cover areas such as steelmaking, casting, product development, environmental and safety issues or any other areas that our partners select for collaborative research.
