The Plant has an opening for an Assistant Chemist.
Please note: This is a night shift position from 5:30pm-6:00am and allows you to have every other weekend off.
Hours and days are below AFTER you are fully trained.
Training will be during day shift hours from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm for 4-12 months from your start date.

– 12 hrs WHAT YOU’LL DO: Responsible for analytical testing on raw ingredients, in-process and finished product, and plant utilities.
This also includes testing for release of product to manufacturing for further processing, filling, and finishing.
This position will obtain and test environmental samples for compliance to specifications outlined in the Lab Methods Manual.
The chemist I will be responsible for identifying and solving immediate problems with some assistance from the supervisor and crew leader.
A chemist I will be responsible for initiating troubleshooting for minor testing problems.
This individual will recognize and report method procedure problems, and out-of-specification conditions, and is expected to perform all Chemist I functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING: High school diploma or GED required plus 1 year of appropriate college lab studies and 1 year of college mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry or calculus), plus 2 years of laboratory experience or 4 years experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
OR a Science related Associates Degree with at least 1 year of appropriate college lab studies and 1 year of college mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry or calculus), plus 1 year of related laboratory experience or 2 years experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
OR a Science related Bachelor’s Degree with at least 1 year of appropriate college lab studies and 1 year of college mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry or calculus).
