Has a thorough knowledge of and is able to assemble parts on all manual, semi-automated and automated assembly work areas and/or machines. Has proficient level of knowledge to assist others and is able to provide feedback and general work directions to a team.Responsibilities* Set up, run, trouble shoot manual, semi-automated or automated assembly machines.* Check production schedule and run jobs (including producing parts as required) to satisfy demands for the shift. Perform any required SAP transactions.* Perform all SPC and other quality related tasks, including the segregation of parts and the writing of and processing QN’s. Performs layered audits.* Perform verification runs and participate in experimental and pre-production runs. Notify supervisor or lead of tooling and material requirements and assist in ordering materials, tools and supplies while maintaining all appropriate tool packs, SMED packs, set-up sheets and layouts.* Ensure all maintenance requests are identified in the business operating system (Frontline) for the shift.* Cleans machines and perform scheduled maintenance and housekeeping as necessary. This includes pointing out and abating any potential safety violations or hazards. Performs daily 5S walks throughout the department.* Train new operators in the department, including assembly standard work.* Performs other duties as assigned (eg. Kaizen, CI Teams, TPM Events; Departmental 5S, PM, Safety Audits, etc.)* Other duties as assigned.Qualifications* High School diploma or GED* Ability to work in a team environment* Able to learn at least the basic level of the job duties described above as well as other jobs in the cells as required* Ability to learn to operate lift equipment, scales, ladders, staplers and banding machines, if required* Knowledge of mechanical blueprints* Able to use optical comparators, Vernier calipers, micrometers and other required measuring instruments.* Good to excellent mechanical skills* Manual dexterity.You may apply for this position online by selecting the Apply now button.
