Primary Function

The Assembly Team Lead coordinates production for small employee groups in anassigned area.

Must be an active leader who will drive department goals through standardized work, quality standards and continous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) and build relationships at all levels.
Have the vision to follow the production process and resolve issues that may result in production downtime.
Ability to understand and enforce all plant safety policies.
Ensure team members are following standardized work instructions with an eye for understanding the quality expectations.
Contribute towards continuous improvement of the production line by working with the Industrial Engineers and Supervisors.
Strong organizational skills as well as time management.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly audits and reporting discrepancies to supervisors.
Able to learn and perform a variety of production tasks within the assigned department.
Must be able to make quick, educated decisions and work well under pressure.
Focus on Problem Solving to root cause.
Must be willing tostrengthen leadership skills through continued training.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications

Minimum one year of leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
High School Diploma required, Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred.
Must be able to work 2nd Shift, as required.
Must be able to follow a flexible work schedule.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) is required.
Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
Must be able to obtaina forklift license.
Physical Requirements
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.

Loud noises and limited exposure to dust and fumes.
Must be able to push/pull up to 75 lbs.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20pounds overhead and maneuver various parts weighting up to 50 lbs.
Use of wrenching, impacting, and/or vibrating tools (manual and automatic) is required occasionally for extended periods of time.
Variable hot and cold working environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
