Focused Improvement & Analytics EngineerProcess Optimization COEThis is a mid-level, full time, exempt positionDescription:The Focused Improvement & Analytics (FI&A) Engineer is charged with leveraging control strategy design and advanced process control to drive continuous improvement in process operations.
This role is responsible for deployment of various process control strategies and tools and resources to improve manufacturing process efficacy in colleague safety, product quality, environmental impact, process reliability, and profitability.
In addition to designing and deploying optimization applications, the role will also be responsible for tracking performance of these applications to maintain performance health.The FI& A Engineer will also contribute to plant culture by supporting safety initiatives, Performance Excellence, and Readiness initiatives.Job Requirements:Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements.Perform activities related to the design, development, implementation and maintenance of advanced process control and optimization applications.Conduct optimization assessments to identify and address existing and potential issues, propose solutions to complex technical problems, and recommend process improvements.Act as a resource for plant process engineers, process control engineers, and instrumentation technicians through coaching, mentoring, and conducting training.Implement and track performance KPIs to maintain or improve the effectiveness of advanced process controllers.Exceptional communicator and collaborator to work with various teams in plant engineering, plant management, and various Automation and Technology CoEsDevelop process knowledge required to guide optimization of manufacturing processes.The candidate must be capable of working in extreme temperatures.
Must have the ability to climb stairs, lift and move a minimum of 40 pounds, and sit and stand for long periods of time.
