Apprentice Solar Installer

Atlantic Key Energy is looking for an Apprentice Solar Installer in Atlanta, GA!

As Apprentice Solar Installer, you train under the supervision of a journey-level solar electrician to learn the skills needed for the job.

Your duties include helping install, repair, and maintain solar energy equipment, assisting with the installation of new solar panels and the rehabilitation and troubleshooting of existing equipment.

You also work with related devices such as battery storage units and net metering systems that connect the solar panels to the electrical grid.

Your training involves working in an outdoor environment throughout the year.

Duties:

· Work on a crew of 3 people to ensure that the job is completed safely and on time

· Be willing to own and operate the personal reliable vehicle to and from job sites year-round

· Hang/wire inverters, bend conduit, pull wire, attach racking system to the roof, mount modules, and connect all major system components with the grid to local specifications

· Work with the front office to develop company policy and improve company-wide protocols

· Lift 60 pounds or more over your head, dig post holes/trenches, work in the sun for eight hours plus per day and walk on steeply sloped roofs with a harness

· Clean driving record and no criminal history

· Self-motivated and fast learning

· Clean, professional appearance

· Familiarity with basic electrical principles and wire sizing

· Clear communication with current operations and design team

· Full-time availability

Experience:
Solar PV Installation: 1 year (Preferred)
Education:
High school or equivalent (Required)
Work authorization:
United States (Required) MUST PROVIDE I-9 DOCUMENTS WITHIN 3 DAYS OF HIRE TO CONTINUE EMPLOYMENT.

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
