This role will provide support in the accurate and timely delivery of loans elevated for compliance review in SitusAMC Residential Mortgage due diligence Elevated Compliance Review Process.This position will primarily be responsible for performing preliminary reviews of loans elevated to compliance including data verification, targeted analysis of compliance findings, validation of findings, and performing appropriate actions to remove, override, or elevate exceptions for further review, as appropriate.This role will also be responsible for tracking and documenting quality issues and working with the Assistant Vice President to prepare feedback for personnel managers and develop training or systematic solutions to address recurring invalid exceptions.As a secondary responsibility, this position may undergo TRID stip exception clearing training and be asked to assist in the review of cure documentation or exception rebuttals in the TRID stip clearing process.Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned based on production volume and department needs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Review loans elevated to compliance for accuracy of data capture and validity of certain compliance findings using applicable “EQ Preliminary Review Worksheet”
- Perform preliminary review of high cost and other anti-predatory lending exceptions elevated to compliance using applicable “Preliminary Compliance Review Worksheet”
- Assist with reviewing exception rebuttals and cure documentation related to cited compliance exceptions and effectuate appropriate curative actions or respond with additional documentation required (if any)
- Monitor and track accuracy of data capture and document indexing of loans elevated to compliance for review, identify and document trends and work with AVP, Regulatory Compliance to develop solutions for potential enhancements so that quality trends can be analyzed and incorporated into system changes, job aids, or process refinements to improve overall quality of review.
- Participate in Compliance team meetings
- Assist with preparing test loans for UAT prior to system roll out of compliance-related changes as needed

- Experience/key skills needed for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One (1) year minimum experience in residential mortgages (origination or due diligence) preferred
- Familiarity with residential mortgage loan documentation required
- Proficiency with SitusAMC’s proprietary loan review platform (Clarity) required
- Must have strong work ethic, ability to multi-task, highly organized
- Must be detail oriented and organized, ability to understand and carry out instructions accurately and consistently, strong analytical ability, good judgement, possess strong communication skills (written and oral), excellent PC skills and high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Demonstrated professional behavior including teamwork, positive attitude, punctuality, dependability, understanding and adherence to company policies and procedures, ability to interact successfully with others and give and receive constructive feedback, and ability to perform work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision,
- Familiarity with federal regulations (including, but not limited to, TILA and RESPA) and state and city/county regulations (including, but not limited to anti-predatory lending laws and regulations, state-specific disclosure requirements, late charges, grace periods, prepayment penalty restrictions) as it relates to residential mortgage regulatory compliance preferred but not required
· The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment

The pay range for this role is $50,000 to $65,000 annually.
