Supports plant operation by reconciling production reporting, ensuring accuracy of raw materials, creating and maintaining training procedures, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with departments outside the plant
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with production to resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solutions & options, implementing action plans, and providing resources
- Assist with production and special projects
- Coordinate and implement new quality initiatives; support training needs through work instructions and procedures
- Create, update and maintain documents in the production area
- Develop and maintain a system to educate all plant personnel on the end use of products and key product characteristics as defined by customers
- Conduct required management review meetings, keep minutes of meeting, and track progress on action items
- Implement system improvements to keep raw material shortages to a minimum
- Overall responsibility for Plant SAP Reconciliation – which includes the following;
- Review and optimize Daily Production Records
- Track and report Special Order Requests
- Track and report Bill of Material Substitutions
- Assist in Conducting physical inventories and cycle counts for the Plant
- Maintain a weekly hourly schedule for the plant, and assist in maintaining overall hourly head count.
- Assist in placing employees in open training positions according to the CBA.
This position will also have a key role in maintaining and accelerating our plant TWI plan.
- Verify and correct production accounting.
Coordinates glass, cullet, batch and binder usage with Plant Controller
- Support corporate accounting for month end reconciliation
- Investigate problems within system and recommend and institute improvements
- Help to manage restricted inventory and resolve discrepancies to minimize the financial effect on Plant production
Qualifications
Education :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management , Accounting or related field
Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years’ production experience in a manufacturing environment
