Travel the country.The mission of the AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) program is to strengthen communities and develop leaders through team-based national and community service.
NCCC’s Summer of Service 2022 team leader role is a full-time, short-term service opportunity for anyone interested in gaining leadership experience in environmental work.
You’ll train in Aurora, Colo., then deploy with your team of 6-12 AmeriCorps members, ages 18-26, to a project site within the U.S.
No prior climate or environmental work experience is required.Training Location: Aurora, CORequirements to serve:Must be 18 years or olderMust be a U.S.

Specific potential project types include the following: renewable energy and energy efficiency; agriculture and food systems; education/training on greenhouse gas emissions; conservation; access to outdoor recreation; natural and cultural resource preservation; and natural disaster preparedness, resilience, mitigation, response, and recovery.
As a team leader, you will be crucial to your team’s success.
You’ll be responsible for directing, motivating, and mentoring a diverse team of young people.
Partner organizations and NCCC staff will look to you for coordination of project logistics.
