The group is responsible for supporting the entire range of AMD products including APUs, CPUs and GPUs, enabling customers to build competitive solutions.
The Role: As a technical lead within the Software Security Engineering team, you will engage with hardware and software engineering teams, architects and customers to drive enablement of security centric features across the entire range of AMD products.
You will participate in all aspects of development life cycle, focusing on development of embedded firmware and boot loaders.
Key Responsibilities:Architect, design and implement firmware and device drivers enabling wide range of security featuresDevelopment of new hardware and software features within pre & post silicon environmentsEngage as an active team player, leverage AGILE methodologies to drive cross team development, provide leadership to junior developers and always ready to take on new challengesDrive design reviews, quality improvements and architectural discussionsMake recommendations and refine SW engineering processes to improve quality and efficiencyRequired Skills:10+ years of hands on experience with low level development in C / C++ An understanding of OS kernel/driver design and implementation with one or more operating systemsAn understanding of embedded firmware and/or device driver development on ARM or x86 Familiarity with pre-silicon validation on FPGAs or simulation environments along with ASIC bring-upWell versed in software engineering practices to drive timely execution and long-term sustainability Ability to work independently under tight deadlines, responding to changing business and technical conditions with minimal directionKnowledge of Cryptography, DRM & Platform Security concepts Experience with technologies including as Secure Boot, TEE, TPM and VirtualizationFamiliarity with data bus protocol such as SPI, I2C and PCIE an assetHands on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, would be an assetFamiliarity with Verilog and JTAG protocol would be an assetAcademic Credentials: University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplineLocation:Austin, Texas#LI-PU1Requisition Number:79794Country:United StatesState:TexasCity:AustinJob Function:DesignAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies or fee based recruitment services.
