Our studies, simulation, and analysis methodologies provide robust, timely, and cost-effective approaches to determine the battle space effectiveness and technology readiness for current and emerging weapon systems.

Verity is seeking an Aerothermal Engineer to join our Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Team.

As a part of our small team, you will make a direct impact on each system we work on through their entire cycle from conceptual design to flight testing while supporting various programs within the Department of Defense.

The successful candidate is a highly motivated, self-starter that has interest and knowledge in aerospace structures, thermal protection systems (TPS) including ablative material modeling, reacting flow fields, boundary layer transition modeling, and full Navier-Stokes computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods.

This position will be on-site, yet travel up to 25% may be required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field of study
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with 3D CAD Tools (SolidWorks preferred) and MATLAB
  • Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field of study
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Ability to work well in a highly dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to fully document methods used for analysis
