Job DescriptionMy Canton, OH client is in need of a Proposal Specialist to join their team.
The Proposal Specialist’s core duty is to ensure that the company’s proposals are fully executed from start to finish.
This involves coordinating and producing all proposal (RFI, PPQ, RFP etc.) responses, while working with a proposal team that has the skills needed to prepare and submit proposals to organizations nation-wide.
Business Development to strategize on bid selection, work effort needed and staffing requirements.
This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.Duties Implement and enforce all necessary proposal procedures and governance Coordinate the proposal process end to end, assigning tasks to all required personnel Review solicitation materials and work with sales team to determine bid choices Organize and schedule the bid/no bid recommendation meetings based on RFP requirements Schedule and run the proposal kick-off meetings, leading planning sessions when necessary,and facilitating key review meetings / final document review Develop proposal timelines, checklists and team assignments for each bid Review with Legal all proposal requirements and ensure exceptions are well-documented toprotect liability exposure Represent the company at various pre-bid activities, including meetings as needed.
Coordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involvingcontributions from sales, marketing, technical delivery and product teams.
Prepare all proposal documents: proposal editing and the final organization of completedproposal submissions within customer defined timeframes Coordinate notary requirements and route to appropriate personnel for completion Coordinate proposal governance and sign off Oversee document delivery of the completed proposal with the assigned Sales lead.
Manage and maintain a Content Library within the existing Proposal Management platform.
Maintain all proposal boilerplate materials, ensuring quarterly reviews by Departmentleadership including Research & Development, Professional Services and Customer Care Own the RFP platform including the organization of content and tracking of final documents Own the document templates in line with company branding.
Communicate bid status throughout the bid lifecycle, including results (win/loss) to the salesteam and executive managementQualifications Associates Degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred Analytical capabilities related to solution offerings and bid requirements Excellent writing and editing competencies Deep understanding of government procurement processes obtained through 5 yearsminimumof hands-on experience Advanced MS Word / PowerPoint skills & proficient in MS Office Working knowledge of MS Project, Visio, SharePointAdditional InformationNo C2C, contract, or sponsorship is available for this position.
Must be authorized to work in the US without expiration.
This position will allow you to work remotely but will require that you work on site at the corporate office in Canton, OH on occasion.
