FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Quality Control Section Leader Bargaining Unit Position Position Summary: Each individual performing this function is responsible for not only the overall quality of the activities performed per written procedures and training but also for interaction with the entire team to strive to achieve goals, promote safety and build a relationship with team members through respect and communication.
Job Requirements: Position responsibilities:
• Operate and/or run any assigned job and perform all necessary work related duties.
• Perform any process per instructions, to insure quality parts are produced and packaged.
• Responsible for strict adherence to quality instructions on each operation and completion of required forms (I.e.
5S scorecard, 1st Pass Yield, etc.).
• Place parts in specific relationship with each other.
• Read & understand QIS/Mold Book and other oral/written instructions.
• Package components according to procedure and requirements.
• Perform fitting or fastening operations on assembly lines.
• Runs machines, such as arbor presses, riveting machine and pad printer
• Maintain a neat and orderly flow of products and work area.
• To properly use and maintain all safety apparel and equipment, when and where necessary.
• Perform other duties as directed by Management.
Essential skills and experience:
• Must be able to read and understand written and/or verbal instructions
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform job activities according to QIS/Mold Book instructions.
• Ability to understand importance of activities and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives.
• Must be able to pass drug screen.
Preferred skills and experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a machine operator.
Reporting to this position: No direct reports Physical Demands : Subjected to lifting fifty (50) pounds, Repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, standing and sitting, with or without accommodation Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
