$15 per hour – Food Service Associate

Overview: $15 per hour! Carowinds is looking for energetic individuals who are reliable and motivated to serve our Guests great food with a side of smiles. A wide variety of opportunities are available within our Food and Beverage Division. Food & Beverage Associates prepare and serve food to park guests and operate cash registers while providing superior quality service in a clean, safe atmosphere. Culinary/Kitchen Associates handle various tasks including preparing quality food products and presenting them in an attractive fashion based on prescribed company recipes, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils, and overseeing all areas within Food & Beverage to ensure proper food safety guidelines are being met, including daily audits of food stands, kitchens, and food production areas. Associates will follow proper sanitation to maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area. Note: Qualifications and Responsibilities differ for each position. However, each role must: Follow all Board of Health regulations. Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions. Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision. Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Meets Cedar Fair’s attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair’s attendance policies. Adheres to Cedar Fair’s Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
