100% Remote Vulnerability Management Administrator

Description:

One of our top clients is continuing to strengthen their security posture through new resource growth. This particular team has responsibility for Vulnerability Management and Remediation, Incident Response/SOC and Threat Detection/Analysis.

This role will focus on Vulnerability Management and Remediation activities.

The already have 1 person doing Rapid 7 tuning which is important for asset classification. The CDMB isn’t a single source of truth, s they have several different data stores to pull from.

They correlate the data in Rapid7, then this resource would contribute some automation to include export, tagging, upload via API.

After assessing and analyzing vulnerabilities, this person will need to package the remediation files in SCCM and deploy them to the environment, while also partnering with the PM and engineers on deployment schedules.

This person will also contribute to some basic level 2 SOC response work – following playbooks and troubleshooting alerts.

1) 60% Vuln Analysis/Rapid 7 ? ingest data feeds, build some automation to include export, tagging, upload via API. They need to understand how to assess a vulnerability ? how does it apply to our environment? What add?l info do I need? Tool doesn?t tell us how this device is exposed, so we have to problem solve. After analysis, we initiate remediation ? generate a ticket, deal with stakeholders (engineers, admins)

2) 20- 30% SCCM ? packaging of vulnerability remediation updates. Coordinate/schedule within tool. Prob not much facilitation work in near term ? that?s someone else. This is more daily system level updates. Part of facilitation will be with PM?s. This role will take direction on timing and get something deployed, coordinate with testers
