What will I do?Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on food production equipmentWork effectively with a team, assisting other personnel as necessary to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely mannerCommunicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers; determine best practices for repair work and assess downtime with store personnelCreate and maintain preventative maintenance records on all equipment serviced; maintain truck inventoryDeliver incredible service to both internal and external customers, and maintain Wegmans high standards of quality and food & human safety procedures Qualifications:5 or more years related work experienceTechnical training through apprenticeship, trade school, or equivalent work experienceKnowledge of controls, electricity and machine principles, such as fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, lubrication and sealingExperience with AC and DC motors and gas combustion standardsSound mechanical ability, as well as knowledge of welding and plumbingSupermarket/restaurant related equipment experience, including knowledge of applicable codes, regulations and operating standards is preferredIndependent ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical systems is preferredAt Wegmans, we believe that if we take care of our people, theyll take care of our customers.
