Transformer Repairer

nnWe Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Transformer Repairer in our Pewaukee, WI location.

The Transformer Repairer performs the following duties: nn Perform field repair work on energized equipment Use overhead and jib cranes and forklift trucks to unload equipment Perform welding or fabrication to transformers as needed in the shop and field Prepare various company forms and reports such as, production records and hazardous waste manifests Handle PCB contaminated oil in accordance with environmental procedures including federal EPA, DOT, and applicable state regulations Fill 55-gallon barrels with reclaimed oil using oil room pump system and prepares oil for shipment or storage Receive used oil to be reclaimed or scrapped and pumps into holding tanks or barrels Occasional lifting over 50 pounds Miscellaneous duties as required or assigned nn Minimum Qualifications: nn Applicant must have a minimum of five years welding experience in the industrial trades or in lieu of the welding experience, must have completed a formal certification program at an accredited trade school.

Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and meet the company’s requirements for driving.

Candidates may be required to demonstrate their ability to perform the physical functions of the position by completing a Physical Capacity Evaluation.
