Join our team and become a part of our new growth and bright future We offer competitive salary and a great benefit package in an exciting, rewarding industry.Dohrn is currently seeking a Full Time Trailer Mechanic at our Omaha, NE terminal.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Operate and inspect mechanical equipment to diagnose defectsPreventive maintenance of equipmentDismantle and reassemble equipmentPlan work procedure using charges and experienceRepair, replace and adjust necessary units and partsEnter labor lines and parts into repair order computer systemMay travel to other company shop locations when staff is neededReact to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assignedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:A minimum age of 18High School completion or equivalentCommand of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customersMust pass a NON-Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen NOTE: CDL-qualified mechanics will be subject to a DOT physical examinationMust consent to a pre-employment drug screen; Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative resultExperience is preferredFederal inspection certifications are preferredKnowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment is requiredMust have previous experience maintaining detailed and routine record keepingManual dexterity requiredMust possess knowledge of occupational hazards & standard safety precautionsMust possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to communicate to both internal and external customersAbility to work in a team as well as individuallyExcellent attendanceWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Overtime may be necessary during peak periods; Must be able to work a varied schedule or travel based on needHeavy work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, and 100 lbs.
