Temporary Operations Technician

KUSA/KTVD

This is a Full-time position in Denver, CO posted October 18, 2021.

KUSA/KTVD Denver, Colorado, a TEGNA owned NBC affiliate has an opening for a Temporary Operations Technician.

Job responsibilities include operating robotic cameras and teleprompter duties, record and playback of programs and commercial content, operation of automation systems, monitor of signal quality and work in a flexible environment. If your willing to apply your broadcast skills in one of the most active and dynamic stations, this is the job for you. We work hard everyday to bring a high standard product to the viewer. The ideal candidate should be a fast learner and possess the ability to handle a high paced environment.

Pay Range : $18-22 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Robotic Camera System for live productions
  • Handle Teleprompter controls for in studio and remote talent
  • Maintain Cleanliness of Studio and Master Control Areas
  • Capable of Operating/Maintain Crispin Automation and Playout Systems
  • Ingest, record, segment and prepare programs, commercials, topicals/promotions for Air Playback

    Requirements:

  • Experience with Broadcast Operations with Robotic Cameras, Broadcast Automation of Air Lists, Ingest, Segment and Quality Control of Syndicated Programming
  • Knowledge of Satellite, Microwave, RF and Bonded Cellular transmission
  • Ability to work well in team environment and make quick decisions under pressure
  • Available to work a flexible schedule of a 24/7 Operation
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize needs simultaneously

    Work Environment: Office

    Physical Demands: Medium work

    Travel: Rarely: less than 10%

    Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment

    Physical Demands Set: Medium work: Involves standing prolong hours, stooping, bending, lifting/pushing up to 25 lbs.
