How are we different?
In addition to 5 days of paid vacation in your first three years, your vacation time doubles to 10 days per year the following year.

SUMMARY: Performing snow removal and landscaping duties including using hand tools, power tools, and other necessary equipment to complete a project; possibly driving a company vehicle to pick up materials or to complete snow removal activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lays Sod
Performs Trimming, Planting, and Mulching
Lays Rock
Installs Retaining Walls, Paver Patios, and Walkways
Waters and Fertilizes Plants and Grass
Digs, and Rakes Grass and/Ground
Performs Sprinkler Installation
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Employee agrees to wear Highlands Landscaping & Fencing apparel when on the job
Proficiently and safely use snow removal equipment such as shovels, plows, snowblowers, ATV’s, skid loaders, vehicles with plow blades, and other power and manually operated tools and equipment used to perform safe snow removal
Safely and appropriately distribute de-icing solutions, including calcium chloride or rock salt.
Perform highly physical work outdoors on a consistent basis in all weather conditions, specifically very cold, icy, snowy weather
Understand and meet contract scheduled deadlines without sacrificing great customer service or excellent quality
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Continually required to stand

Occasionally/ required to sit
Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
Continually required to talk or hear
Frequently exposed to wet conditions (non-weather)
Continually work near moving mechanical parts
Occasionally work in high, precarious places
Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
Continually exposure to outside weather conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually very loud
The employee must continually lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Pay: $16.00
– $20.00 per hour

Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
Landscape maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
