Overview: Corrpro North America is looking for a Senior Corrosion Technician to plan and perform testing and field surveys for corrosion and corrosion protection systems and evaluate test results.
He / She will prepare drawings and technical reports of corrosion control systems on various structures.

For more details, visit www.corrpro.com Responsibilities: The Senior Corrosion Technician (or Technologist) will supervise technicians and technologists.Position Responsibilities & Accountabilities:Execute projects as assigned by supervisor.Responsible for ensuring that all Safety and Quality Management procedures are properly followed throughout the project.Plan and schedule jobs including customer interaction.Conduct field surveys to gather data for evaluation of corrosion and corrosion control.Execute pipeline and tank integrity testing.Perform testing of corrosion prevention systems including cathodic protection, protective coatings, AC/DC interference and corrosion monitoring.Diagnose and remedy system malfunctions.Perform interference testing.Supervise field installations and commission systems.Prepare field sketches for preparation of drawings.Analyze data, perform mathematical calculations, apply corrosion control principles and develop conceptual designs.Perform economic evaluations of alternative methods of corrosion protection.Organize and reduce data, prepare charts and tables.Prepare bills of material and cost estimates.Prepare final report to client for review.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsEffectively present information to individuals or groups (management, clients, customers, general public) and respond to questions.Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and apply basic statistical, algebraic and geometric concepts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volumes, etc.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Other Skills and Abilities:Position requires individual to have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower, to be a strong communicator able to take initiative and function independently.
Must be capable of making people management decisions and comfortable in a management position.Possesses and applies comprehensive engineering knowledge of engineering principles to the completion of complex assignments.
Ability to work with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
Ability to learn new applications quickly.
Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point) required.Physical Demands / Work Environment: Frequent standing and walking required throughout the day.
Occasional climbing may be required.
Frequent driving is required.
Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting required.
Required to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Willing to work overtime as required.
In performing the duties for this job, the employee will work in either an office type environment or in outside weather conditions (occasionally near job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations).
Will be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
The noise level is usually moderate.
Travel is required.
Will periodically work away from home.
