DescriptionGeorgia Pacific in Dudley Plywood is seeking a ROLLING STOCK MECHANIC.Successful candidates will be team oriented, motivated and will actively participate in and promote a safe working environment. Our Rolling Stock Mechanics work in a hot, humid, cold, noisy, dusty manufacturing environment and work overtime, weekends and holidays as required.What You Will Do In Your RolePerform repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance on Forklifts, Front end loaders and other equipment within our rolling stock fleet·Operate hoisting and lifting devices, set-up, and repair of machinery·Adjust machinery and repair and/or replace defective parts·Help meet or exceed production waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program·Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with managers and co-workers·Keep work area clean throughout shiftWork safely, following company policies and practices including lock out tag out procedures and wearing all required personal protective equipmentThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:H.S. diploma or GEDA minimum of one (1) year of experience as a heavy equipment mechanicExperience reading electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics related to mobile equipmentExperience diagnosing and rebuilding power train components including internal combustion engines, transmissions and final drive componentsWelding and fabrication experience; specifically, experience affecting major structural repair on mobile equipmentMust possess own toolsExperience using a computer for record-keepingExperience with mobile equipment hydraulics, air and mechanical brake systems, drive train systems, mobile equipment electrical systems and tire and steering systemsWhat Will Put You AheadA minimum of three (3) years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanicA minimum of two (2) years of experience working on hydraulic and pneumatic schematics on heavy farming equipmentAssociates Degree or Trade School Certificates (i.e. Diesel Technician, Forklift Technician, etc.)Salary and Benefits Commensurate with Experience.Equal Opportunity Employer.Except where prohibited by state law, all offers of employment are conditioned upon successfully passing a drug test.This employer uses E-Verify.
