1st Shift – $14.00 + $1.50 Summer Bonus per hour= $15.50 per hour
2nd Shift – $15.00 + $1.50 Summer Bonus per hour= $16.50 per hour
Quality Assurance Position Summary:
The mission of the Quality Assurance Technician (QA Tech) is to provide quality assurance support and perform various functions in ensuring only top-quality products leave the company’s production facilities. The role reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
Quality Assurance Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide daily monitoring of facility and personnel to ensure compliance to the food safety system of the facility; perform formal audit on cGMP.
- Safely keep records of all production line audits; immediately report results discovered to be out of specification to the QA supervisor.
- Inform Quality Assurance Management of ANY Food Safety.
- Possess innovative, resourceful, and proactive disposition, committed to ensuring continuous improvement of capacity and delivering quality service.
- Ability to prioritize and perform position responsibilities accurately and to deadline.
- Is responsible for all other duties as assigned.
- Ensure product is processed to company HACCP/HARPC programs.
- Responsible for informing Quality Assurance Management of ANY Food Safety.
- Ability to implement and manage food safety corrective actions.
Quality Assurance Technician REQUIRED Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Experience performing administrative work including completing and reconciling paperwork.
- Computer skills including basic Microsoft Excel.
- Extreme detail orientation.
- Ability to think analytically and problem solve.
- Ability to stay organized and multitask.
- Ability to perform basic mental math.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Quality Assurance Technician PREFERED Job Qualifications:
- Prior quality assurance experience.
- Prior manufacturing experience, preferably food manufacturing.
Quality Assurance Technician Working Conditions & Environment:
- This is largely a static role with standing, however, the ability to perform repetitive bending and standing up is also required. This would require the ability to lift 10-35 lbs. repetitively and up to 45 lbs. occasionally. Must also be able to push/pull up to 250 lbs on rollers occasionally.
- This role operates in a wet and cold/refrigerated environment (around 35 degrees F) located within a manufacturing, warehousing, and production type facility. Must be able to withstand cold temperatures for 8-12 hours a day.
