[www.vailresortscareers.com](http://www.vailresortscareers.com) Summary: As an Entry Maintenance Technician at the DoubleTree by Hilton Breckenridge, you would be responsible for supporting the Engineering operations in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and exceptional standards. Work with the Engineering Supervisor, Operations Manager and Director of Operations to support the departmental needs of the day. Communicates effectively in writing and verbally to provide details to leadership team. Conduct room inspections weekly to ensure that Preventative Measure standards are being met. Manage the maintenance and sanitation of all Engineering areas to ensure a safe work environment, compliance with applicable regulations and protection of the physical asset Focus on providing world-class service for every guest at every opportunity. Works closely with all departments to ensure that maintenance and repairs involving guest rooms and public areas are completed timely and with minimal detraction to other operations. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, plans, and conclusions Proactively follow specific departmental procedures in performing repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation work in a safe and neat manner Comply with the latest insurance, local county, state and federal government codes, laws, and requirements Determine defects, troubleshoot malfunctions, take necessary corrective action, and record same following specific departmental procedures Function as a member of the emergency organization team and become an expert on life safety system Be aware of fire, safety, and protection equipment/hazards Maintain tracking data check sheet and logs Ensure work assignments are completed with no rework and with little to no supervision Ensure service requests are followed up on and completed in line with standards Conduct all Hilton and Vail Resorts training to provide tools for the teams to be safe on the job and in compliance with standards. Successfully complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Intermediate Excel – required Ability to learn new systems quickly – required Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record – required. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather and conditions. Ability to frequently lift/carry, push/pull up to 25lbs. Ability to occasionally lift/carry, push/pull up to 75lbs Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills, with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills. Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel, stoop or crouch repeatedly. Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required. Detail oriented on assigned tasks and the ability to follow through to a conclusion Strong communication skills Ability to take ownership of projects and drive production through completion Ability to work successfully in a strong team environment The budgeted range starts at 15.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
