Job Description
This position performs professional plumbing and pipefitting duties for all institutionally-owned facilities, including maintaining and repairing the plumbing, pumps, gas piping, steam and hot water piping, and installing new water supply piping for drains and miscellaneous plumbing on building modifications on campus. The position works under the direction of the Mechanical Operations Supervisor and supervises one to two student employees.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
License or Certification: State of Idaho Journeyman Plumbing License; Backflow Assembly Tester Certification preferred.
This position requires a minimum of five years job experience. Position requires expertise with the state plumbing code, gas code, and various heating systems. The position often works in confined areas and must handle noxious sewage material, steam, natural gas, and chemicals. The position requires ability to solder and operate a metal lathe.

Physical Requirements
The ability to perform all necessary functions of the position which will include lifting at least 50 pounds, significant squatting, bending, pushing, pulling, and other physical exertion.
