Plant Maintenance Technician, Senior Plant Maintenance Technician

Overview Perform repair, troubleshooting and routine maintenance for machinery and plant equipment in a quality and timely manner.

Assess the feasibility of in-house or outside repairs.

Responsibilities Perform repair, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance for machinery and plant equipment in a quality and timely manner.Perform scheduled plant preventive maintenance activities on machines, equipment, and plant facilities as well as emergency and unscheduled repairs.Identify and purchase equipment parts as needed for repair work.Maintain accurate maintenance records.Identify and recommend feasibility of in-house or outside repairs.

Coordinate outside vendor repair activities.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Safely and effectively operate and maintain hand and power tools.Coordinate repairs and inspections with equipment operators to maintain uninterrupted production schedule.Perform building maintenance to include plumbing, air conditioning etc.Comply with all safety requirements and use all applicable personal protective equipment (PPE).Clean work area daily and perform preventative maintenance and equipment checks.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.High school diploma or GED required.Two (2) year technical degree preferred.Plant Maintenance Technician
– minimum of three (3) years experience in Plant Maintenance required.Senior Plant Maintenance Technician
– minimum of seven (7) years experience in Plant Maintenance required.Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical machinery is required.Ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematics is required.A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.

Compensation & Benefits Plant Maintenance Technician starting pay rate of $19.00
– $21.00/hour depending on qualifications.Senior Plant Maintenance Technician starting pay rate of $21.00
– $23.00/hour depending on qualifications.
