Job Description
Area oversight of preparation and finish painting of hydraulic pumps and motors to exact specifications.
Essential Duties:
Take responsibility for leading a group of machines and related processes in the Paint Department to achieve plant wide goals in safety, quality, delivery, cost, efficiency , etc. (ergonomic, mechanic, material flow, work instruction, visualization tools, etc.)
Assist in developing stable paint processes for existing product and new product launch in reference to process flow, paint quality. associate training on all shifts (manage processes from single part drawing to internal and Customer PPAP approval according to internal/customer specification)
Team member in updating/developing PFMEA, assign proper RPN, initiate and drive activities to correct high risk conditions, implement preventive actions to protect our Customers
Team member that works with the quality department to solve systemic Customer issues through use of 8D, A3, PDCA, point and system CIP. (analyze, stabilize, improve)
Implement principles of BPS and 5S standards, throughout the area of responsibility.
Active team member in planned project related activities to improve the overall paint value-stream
Develops and writes technical documentation, makes revisions to existing documentation, and provides input to technical papers or presentations. May deliver technical presentations.
Perform other duties as it relates to this position.
SKILL FACTORS:
Excellent verbal/written communication skills required.
Experience with paint processes preferred.
Must be team oriented, organized, and self-motivated to drive project to closure.
Working knowledge with MS Office, Auto Cad, Solid Works, Pro-E, SAP highly desired.
Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, principles of BPS/TPS desired.
Project management skills preferred.
Qualifications
Associates degree preferred. Minimal 4+ years experience in a manufacturing environment required.
