The ability to:Recognize the autonomy and dignity of all elders.Communicate a sense of caring, concern, and dignity for elders.Understand how to place decision-making in the hands of the elders whenever possible and appropriate.Make prompt and accurate judgments with regard to elder care and emergencies.Work and communicate effectively as part of the self-directed work team.Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly and/or emotional upset.Must be able to communicate in English.Must be detailed oriented and have excellent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities.Must be able to use tools and equipment required.Performs other appropriate related and unrelated assigned duties.QualificationsAn applicant should have an interest in caring for the overall best interest of the elders, and must have an understanding of the requirements of the position.Education:Associate degree in dietetic technology from an ADA accredited programLicensure/Certification: Registered Dietetic TechnicianExperience: Supervisory, computer, nutrition and food service experience preferredApply today and begin a meaningful career as an Diet Technicianat Otterbein!
