Pay: $20.50/hr ($18/hr plus a $2.50/hr shift differential) for the weekend shift.

Plus reviews with pay increases 3 times in the first year.

Bonus: 5% target Bonus Program based on individual and company metrics

Summary

The Operations Processing Technician (OPT) works in a Controlled Work Area (CWA) and is responsible for:
CS (Central Services) Decontaminating, cleaning, and sterilizing reusable equipment and supplies that are utilized in Production.

OR
Tissue Processing Safely and aseptically processing human tissue and cell products according to applicable SOPs, WIs, and product specifications.

Depending on the product/process, the OPT may utilize various tools, equipment, machinery, and chemicals.

AlloSource was founded 25 years ago to honor deceased tissue donors by helping surgeons restore patient physical health.

Registered donors (and their families) can donate their organs and tissue (ligaments, tendons, bones, cartilage, skin, etc.) for transplant.

As one of the largest nonprofit tissue banks, AlloSource is responsible for maximizing this gift of tissue donation to create innovative cellular and tissue products such as cartilage for joints, skin for burns and bone for spinal fusions.

One tissue donor has the potential to impact hundreds of people and it’s AlloSource’s sacred responsibility to make sure that happens.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to aseptic technique and processing practices per applicable standards.

Interpret applicable product specifications and perform tasks according to established procedures and company expectations.

Complete accurate processing records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.

Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current Standard Operating Procedures/work instructions, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.

On a rotating schedule this position will work on company observed holidays.

Overtime and call-in work will be determined as needed.

May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of work experience Ability to read and comprehend detailed procedures, written and verbal instruction in English Familiar with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field AATB and/or CTBS certification Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution (CSPD) Experience performing aseptic technique and in medical or laboratory environment Previous FDA and/or Tissue Banking experience Previous tissue/cell processing or Central Supply experience
