Our employees are not only part of history, they’re making history.Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Engineering Technician II to provide support to our Test and Research Area team at our Promontory, UT facility.Role description & Responsibilities:Successful candidate will perform energetic sample setup, assembly, manufacture and configuration of energetic articles in support of multiple developmental programs. This includes working with energetic materials and the fabrication and assembly of energetic articles. Candidate will be required to review, and implement test plans, drawings, specifications and planning in support of various development projects. Skills needed include strong working knowledge and experience in majority of the following areas: sample fabrication and installation, operation of specialized operating equipment and tooling, handling operations, and safe use of various chemicals and bonding compounds. Implementation of continuous improvement using 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles will be required. Job function requires use of standard computer skills. Must be disciplined to followed detailed instructions and comply with procedures. Experience in set-up, fabrication, computer controlled equipment including CNC, and trouble shooting. Ability to receive and follow specific instructions from procedures, prints, planning and supervision. Good communication skills with ability to understand and communicate technical information with clarity. Ability to read, interpret and implement technical drawings, specifications, and procedures. Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications.Education Requirements:Associate degree in technology/instrumentation/electronics. Strong technical background in electronics and mechanical systems preferred.Salary Range: 42323 70538Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
