Molding Technician

POSITION: Injection Molding Machine Operator II
GRADE: Hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Profile Sheets; Operating Logs; Processing Overview, Basic
• Mechanical Setup
• Visually inspect performs
• Adjust production profile when required to obtain the finest perform quality
• Collect daily AA samples as per schedule provided
• Confirm regrind usage and percentage
• Assist mechanic when the machine is down
• Assist material handler if required.
• Assist PM team during PM.
• Train material handler and Injection Room Helper on basic machine operations.
• Communicate clearly with all team members.
• Communicate clearly with Quality Technicians when dealing with quality issues
• Work closely with PM team to improve skills and knowledge pertaining to machine operators
• Work on mold machines for preventative maintenance
• Report any machine deficiencies to shift mechanic and shift supervisors
• Identify and prevent the possible causes of problems related to the profile or potential mechanical break.
• Do required quality tests and complete all production reports as well as completing daily checklists.
• Machine profile confirmation as per current profile sheet.
• Review daily logbook.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment such as filter changing and machine cleaning, etc and keep department clean at all times
• Execute any other tasks related to the job.

Education/Experience Required
• Profile knowledge of injection machine and dryers.
• Machine mold and auxiliary equipment knowledge.
• Good communication, leadership and basic computer skills.
• Take responsibility and accountability while maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
• Working knowledge of Resin Specifications; SPC Applications: Preform Quality and Machine Capability.
