The Maintenance Technician performs various maintenance tasks in a timely manner to ensure a safe work environment.

Starting pay for this position is $25 per hour.

Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Technician:

• Inspect and perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
• Repair and maintain all plant equipment and machinery under the direction of the supervisor or Maintenance Repairer A.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties with limited supervision.
• Assist higher rated maintenance repairers in machine repairs, adjustments, and rebuilding.
• Effect repairs and adjustments of machinery were familiar. Complete minor electrical maintenance in areas as assigned, i.e. replace motors, fuses, switches, etc.

What We Need from You (Our Requirements):

• Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial electrical maintenance certification or equivalent experience and training.
• Must possess ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Must possess physical capability to move freely throughout the facility, walk, stand, bend, use ladders, lift fifty pounds on regular basis, and operate powered machinery and tools.
• Must be trained in hazard recognition, PPE requirements and use, lockout/tagout, confined space procedures, emergency procedures, and any other safety requirements for employment at Grede.
• Must be able to pass respirator fit test and comply with requirements when working in regulated areas.
