Find out today what a career with Pyramid Hotel Group at The Laylow can mean for you!The purpose of this job is to perform the duties of a Maintenance t in accordance with company standards for satisfactory performance:+ Completes work assigned through a work order system+ Responds to guest calls and assists or repairs as needed items in guest rooms in a fast and friendly manner.+ Maintains and repairs locks, plumbing, kitchen equipment, and general hotel maintenance.+ Must be a team player and be able to work well with others within the Engineering Department as well as all other Departments and outside contractors.+ Performs any task assigned by any manager.+ Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel’s mechanical equipment.+ Ensures that the pool is clean, and that water chemistry is balanced daily.
· High school diploma or GED required
· Must have at least four years of maintenance experience
· Previous experience working in the hospitality industry
· Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, associates, and vendors
· Must be flexible in scheduling and be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
· Must be able to read and understand hotel drawings
· Have a good understanding of Mechanical Systems, including Building Management System
· Previous experience in addressable Fire Protection Systems
· Previous experience handling chemical treatment for closed loop systems and cooling towers
· Previous electrical experience and understanding of how to use an electrical meter, with the ability to troubleshoot single phase and three phase circuits
· Previous experience with drywall repairs and painting experience
· Previous experience with vinyl wall covering repair and installation
· Previous experience with furniture repair and touch up
· Previous experience with Saflok or similar system, in handling hotel door locks
· Previous plumbing experience, involving fixtures, pumps, and piping
· Previous experience with pool maintenance, including taking chemical readings and balancing chemicals
· Must have CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification
