Job Title: Maintenance

Reports to: General Manager
Status: Full Time, Hourly
Maintain and operate large pool, family pool and spa; performing related work as needed throughout aquatics and buildings.
Pool Maintenance/Operation: Typical duties; operates, repairs, maintains, and cleans mechanical equipment for pool operation including water filtration and chemical purification systems, intake and outlet valves, chemical feeders, pumps, compressors, seals, vacuum equipment, and chlorine metering devices; regulates water temperature and levels and implements preventive maintenance program for pool operation. Coordinates walk-through inspections of pools and facility and takes necessary corrective action; oversees shut down for annual and emergency maintenance procedures; monitors pool operations, sanitation codes, stores chemicals, sanitizes swim decks. Tests and maintains pool chemical levels; tests and services safety equipment.
Facilities Operation: This individual will be responsible for performing, managing and or scheduling routine building maintenance tasks and perform repairs as needed. Areas of maintenance and supervision and scheduling to include but not limited to minor building maintenance and house-keeping staff (e.g. Fitness and Aquatics center, minor carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, mechanical, tiling, flooring, landscaping, housekeeping and janitorial, plowing, parking lot repair, preventative maintenance, etc.). Manager will perform other tasks as needed and coordinate with other department heads.
Qualifications
Good knowledge of safety, and health codes for public swimming pools; safety procedures for storing, handling and using chemicals. Possesses a pool operators’ certificate or the ability to acquire and maintain Certified Pool Operator license.
Knowledge of Chemtrol units, chem. lines and backwash procedures. Minimum 3 years experience in large scale water maintenance systems
Must be available for emergency calls.
